This clay actually comes in powder form, which I did not expect. I was disappointed at first because I thought I'd get a traditional mask, but I still tried it out. The mask is dehydrated clay so you have to add water or some other liquid and make a paste. The benefit of this is the clay stays fresher longer I suppose.
It was hard to make a paste like you see with most masks, so I just applied it in a very thin layer on my face. Well, after I washed it off and for the next 3 days, my skin was the softest it has ever been. I guess there is a reason why the French have been using this clay for centuries.
So I discovered another benefit of the powder: you can add other things besides water, like a few drops of essential oil, honey, yogurt, anything that is good for your skin. Good to customize.
Watch out if you have very dry skin, don't leave it on as long or it might dry you out. But if you ever have a blemish, dab a little on it and the blemish will no doubt be gone in the morning. Mine was!
Very high quality clay. Ultra softening.
